Dryer Balls Review

Our Review

Before you laugh, let me assure you, Dryer Balls are a legit product. What are they, you ask? Dryer Balls are nontoxic, hypo-allergenic rubber balls you place in your dryer along with a load of wet clothes. As the dryer spins, the balls move about and help to separate your clothes. This reduces drying time and helps to eliminate static build up.

I’ve been using various object in my dryer for years to do exactly what Dryer Balls are made for. Sometimes I used one of my kid’s toys…sometimes I used new tennis ball. They all work pretty well. However, when using a toy, I can tell you at least once the toy broke as it was bounced around inside the dryer. The tennis ball? That leaves your clothes smelling like a new tennis ball. Not good.

Dryer Balls are the best product I have ever used in my dryer to reduce drying time and fluff up my clothes. Yes, dryer sheets likely accomplish the same task, but I know several people who either hate the smell or have allergies.

Dryer Balls claim to reduce drying time by up to 40%. I’ve never actually done a test so I cannot verify this value, but I will say that yes, drying time does go down which reduces out electrical bills. Nice.

I rate this product five out of five stars. It works great.

I’ve been using dryer balls for years. They really are great and they rellay do work. Just throw them in your dryer and you’re good to go. The only complaint I have is the noise they make when they bounce around the inside of the dryer. Our dryer is int he basement though so it’s no big deal. Bottom line…dryer balls work.
